A tale of medieval rabbit adventures is described in this Boing Boing article: Medieval manuscript marginalia show rabbits executing a hound. The original article is found here: Eat Rabbit Justice, Hound (Mmm… Marginalia #82)
Caught this episode of The Mentalist titled Devil’s Cherry while recuperating from a nasty cold this weekend. This very alive rabbit mysteriously appeared in a large pot in a kitchen and led Patrick Jane (the main character) on a bit of chase. Another rabbit shows up in a key point of the story to solve a murder mystery.
FYI: The show refers to belladonna as the Devil’s Cherry in the story. However, the actual alternate names for the plant are devil’s berries, naughty man’s cherries, and death cherries (among many others) according to Wikipedia.
Some rabbits have a reputation as escape artists. This one managed to climb up three stories on to a roof. Firefighters were called to rescue Barney the rabbit. You can see a photo of the home and where Barney was found in the linked Daily Mail article.
Professional wildlife snapper Richard Austin set up this photo op for a photography class he was teaching.
